Can you take us through your self-love journey to where you are now?

Honestly, being ridiculed all of my live for being the odd one out, I got to the point where I realized that I can't keep taking the hatred from others inwards. Someone needed to be my friend and that friend needed to be me. Especially after losing my sister the past year, I felt so alone. The milestones of me graduating high school and moving into college felt so lonely. I decided to start my self-love and inner peace journey in October of last year and now it has been steadily increasing more and more everyday. It's so refreshing to not grimace at myself in a mirror and embrace myself fully flaws and all. Along with manifestation, I realized that I genuinely cannot just wait for the ideal persona of being the woman of my dreams fall into my lap. Just as a car won't fall out of the sky brand spanking new, you have to work to earn the respect and love for yourself that YOU deserve. Now that I've truly just honored myself and my body so many more opportunities have been just flowing to me and for that I am so so so grateful.

What are some of your favorite self-love + self-care practices?

- Being absolutely fucking delusional and walking with the confidence of it. For example, as a multi-hyphenate I have several professions that I want to pursue. Some days I wake up wishing that I was a celebrity. There's no need to wish because I already "am" one. I'll take a glance at my off-duty model and actor Pinterest board and throw on my ideal paparazzi fit. It usually includes large oversized sunglasses, a crop top of sorts, a ton of rings, and jeans. - I absolutely love doing mirror work. After I got out of a really rough relationship, I would say things that they used to say to me in the mirror. I also absolutely love eye gazing and just complimenting myself - I love to visualize a bubble around me for protection and receive love and compliments from other - Doing my skincare routine is such a simple pleasure but I just love the sensations of the oils and serums and how soft it is - Journaling 10 things I love about myself everyday as well as journaling my feelings - Doing heart meditations and yoga. I realized I hold a lot of anxiety in my chest so this really helps me finally just have some sort of catharsis and helps me relax - Ballet! Dance is my current minor and I have Ballet classes every other day in addition to practicing in my free time. It helps me feel so in tune and grounded in my body as well as how fluid the body is. This is the one method I use to just push my limits and get out of my head with what I think I can and cannot do - Cooking is truly when I feel most at peace. The act of making everything from scratch and experimenting with different recipes is my form of meditation. From the soft music I will play on Spotify and the ASMR of chopping and hearing the other processes of cooking just makes me so happy.

What are you most proud of so far in your journey? What have you overcome that you used to struggle with?

Im proud of taking time to take it slow. I have so much to do each day but intentionally setting time aside for myself just keeps me so grounded. Doing trauma work and inner child healing in addition to working with grief, depression, and anxiety is so exhausting. I'm grateful to have had that space to feel everything.

How would you like your self-love journey to inspire other people?

I want to remind people that its okay to be selfish and focus on you throughout your day. You don't always have to cater to others or over exert yourself. Take sometime to be alone with just yourself.

What is your favorite gift that you have given yourself? How about one that you’ve received from someone else?

Its super small but I found these adorable toy cat figurines for a dollar and it just brings me so much joy whenever I see them on my desk. One that I've received from someone else is probably an opportunity extended to me.

Have you ever gone on a date with yourself? If yes, what was your favorite experience? If not, what would you like to do?

Not yet! It's currently exam season at my university but when its all over, I intend to go out for breakfast somewhere in the city and go see a performance.

What is one major change that you made in your life that has affected you most positively?

Focusing on gratitude and realizing life happens for me not to me.

What are you currently struggling with that you could use more assistance or practice with to improve?

Branching out and networking fun opportunities.

What are you most looking forward to in your future?

Being able to live alone and healing all of the generational wounds. Also probably just being able to go after all that I want to achieve without the limitations of my family weighing on me.

What is your favorite part of your morning ritual?

hands down writing down what i'm grateful for and dancing to my morning playlist

What is your favorite part of your evening ritual?

I have recently just started incorporating it but stretching before bed with candles lit and just soft music playing

What would your ideal wellness ritual look and feel like?

I think having ample amount of time to slowly get ready and slowly unwind from the day, not rushing my rituals.

What tools/resources do you currently use to improve your life?

Journaling, manifesting, and self improvement books.

If you met your future self today, what would you be most excited to talk with them about?

About the movies I've been in, how my inner peace is, and how it felt to hold an Oscar in my hand.

What improvements would you like to see within the self-love culture?

Focusing less on the aesthetic and turning more inward. While its beautiful to go buy the crystals and rack up on matcha, you must go inside and self reflect.

What does Self Honeymoon mean to you?

Taking that time and space away to just completely fall in love with yourself again as well as being committed to effective boundaries and standards you hold for yourself.
